Briggs & Stratton 020274 Elite Series 3000 psi 2.8 gpm Gas-Powered Pressure Washer with 30-Feet Hose Review

I opted for this unit over many of the others I researched for its mix of features, brand reputation, warranty, and price range. Once it was delivered I had it assembled and running in minutes. Initially, I was a bit disappointed to discover the number of plastic components that were part of the construction.It "felt cheap" as I was putting it together. I may find myself upgrading some of the plastic parts(such as the wand handle) to something better, or I may be forced to do so as these parts wear out. Once I had it running (it started on the first pull of the cord) and tested it out on some surfaces, it did exactly what I needed it to do. The low pressure additives (soap, chemicals) inlet hose works great.

I bought this washer for a couple special projects that I needed to get done. The first was the cleaning of my pool surface and the other to take care of some badly stained concrete and pave stones. For both of these jobs the Briggs & Stratton 020274 is turning out to be a good choice. I was a bit surprised that in order to get the surfaces clean I needed to place the spray head pretty close to the surface which narrowed the width of surface I was cleaning - less than 2 inches wide. So at 3000psi I was still required to make several narrow passes over the surface to get the job done. I don't know if that tells me that a higher psi would get the job done faster or not. The experts all seem to agree that 3000 is plenty for the do-it-yourself-ers and general around the house jobs. In retrospect, I might have gone the next level if the price wasn't so incrementally higher.

I think I made the right choice and I would recommend it to others.

Karcher 9.558-116.0 Pressure Washer Exterior House Cleaner SoapPac, 12-Pack Review

The benefit of the SoapPac is that they are very easy to use - you just drop them into a bucket of water and gently agitate prior to using. The SoapPac lathers well and has a pleasing but-not-to-strong scent. I will also second the recommendation that for best results it is best if the soap has time sit and work. This is not difficult on cloudy days, but it will be much more difficult on a warm sunny day.

I did take one star off due to the cost - these Pacs are more costly than I expected. However, they do a fine job and are simple to use -

Karcher K 2.28 1,550 psi 1.3 gpm Electric Pressure Washer with 20-Foot Hose Review

I was skeptical that it would clean a 17 year old deck, but it did.Awesome power!The only problem is there is not a trigger lock to keep the flow going.Made my fingers sore after a bit, holding the trigger so hard.Lots of pressure.

Earthwise PWO1650 1,650 psi 1.6 gpm Electric Pressure Washer Review

This product arrived quickly and in good condition.The set-up was strait forward and easy.The pressure washer worked GREAT for about 15 minutes, and then it lost pressure.Per the trouble-shooting section of the instruction manual, I checked all the connections to make sure none were sucking air, and then I tried again, but the unit still would not create any water pressure.I phoned the manufacturer and was given the same advice (check the connections), so I did that again without luck.Frustrated, I set it aside and tried again today.This time I wrapped thread seal (plumber's tape) on the threads of the connection between the wand and the pressure hose.I also replaced the gaskets in the inlet hose; however, the fourth time was not a charm - the unit's motor ran and the water flowed, but with no more pressure than a garden hose.It's heading back for a refund.

Karcher 2.641-005.0 Pressure Washer T-Racer Wide Area Surface Cleaner (T350) For Up To 2,650 psi Review

Had a decade of dirt, grime and green stuff accumulated on large concrete driveway and sidewalks.Using the normal nozzle tips of the pressure washer worked, but ultimately impractical due to the tedious time required.This surface cleaner worked like magic in a fraction of the time.It is light and easy to use without straining the arms.It leaves a smooth, uniformly clean finish.And it was even fun.Felt a bit like fixing pictures in Photoshop or using a Paint program, as the unit so smoothly changes the color as it sweeps along!

AR North America Inc. AR383 Blue Clean Pressure Washer Review

I did a lot of research on electric power washers and this brand seemed to have really good professional reviews.I chose this particular model because of the long power cord and the long high pressure hose.As extra bonuses you also get 1900 pounds of pressure and everything wraps up nice and neat on the unit.My only concern is the plastic connection for the hose.I wish they would have used brass or steel like what they have on the high pressure connection.I've tested the unit for about three hours.I washed a couple of windows; did a great job.I cleaned my tiled patio; got the dirt out of the grout.I cleaned my car; got most of the dirt, but even a 3000 psi unit can't get it all, it's just a basic fact you have to use some elbow grease to get road scum off.I also tried it on my fence to clean off dirt and moss build up; didn't do such a good job but then again it is a 1900psi unit and for wood you really need at least 2600psi.For that you need a gas unit and I really don't want to deal with the mess, the loud noise, and the maintenance.I'm really happy with this unit so far, I just hope it doesn't break after a couple of uses like I heard from reviewers of other brands.

Campbell Hausfeld PW1350 1,350 PSI, 1.3 GPM Electric Pressure Washer Review

This was our second power washer.Our first was much more powerful (1750 psi).It could take the paint off the deck.It actually was too powerful for the kinds of jobs we needed.We were very happy with the new Campbell Haufeld 1300 pressure washer.It had enough power to clean the deck and lawn furniture easily.It is light and compact and much easier to use and store.I would have given this product 5 stars - but the auto detail kit was really not worth much.The pressure washer itself was a great deal!
