MI T M Corp CV-2400-4MBC Chore Master Briggs Pressure Washer Review

I just bought this machine today 6/3/09 so I haven't had extensive experience with it.However, from what I've seen so far it should be a nice machine for the home handyman.I got it out of the box and put the handle on it and put the wand together along with the hose.Pretty straight forward and no complicated maneuvers required.I put oil in the crankcase and gas in the tank then pulled the handle.It started the FIRST TIME!I was impressed.I then proceeded to clean off my riding lawnmower to give it a test.I turned the mower on its side and it ripped the old caked grass right out of the mower with no problem.I then adjusted the wand for a "fan" spray and sprayed a few boards on my house to see how well it would take off the old paint in preparation for a new coat.Did the job just fine without damaging the wood.I wasn't sure how I was going to like the adjustable nozzle, which goes from a straight stream to a nice wide fan and everything in-between.But I do like it.So far it looks like a winner.I have a lot of chores scheduled for this machine this summer so I'll know more by fall but so far it looks good.

3600 PSI Pressure Washer 13 Hp Electric Start Review

If you buy this, be prepared for a few things:
1. Delivery takes a while and is usually shipped to a commercial address. Residential delivery costs more.
2. This machine is heavy, at about 150Lbs.
3. Be prepared to be blown over backwards from the pressure when you use it.

There are a couple of niggling points though.

1. The instructions could have been a little better. I looked around for a while to find the correct oil fill plug (I'm an Engineer, so it should have been easy)
2. After 2 weeks, the battery for the electric start is dead. I'm just starting discussion with the manufacturer on how to remedy this.

Overall though, if you are frustrated by the ineffectiveness of electric power washers, and need something powerful - you should give this a try.

Mi T M #CV-2400-4MHC 2400PSI Pressure Washer Review

I had this pressure washer sitting brand new and unused in my garage for nearly two years when I finally got around to using it.I had a problem with it where after starting the engine I'd get high pressure for about 3 seconds and then the water flow would stop altogether, while the engine kept running.I called the 800 number in the manual, and they put me through to an engineer who knew what the problem was - a "check valve" near the outlet hose that got sticky after the item sat unused for two years.He walked me through how to remove the valve and clean it up, and after that it worked like a charm, and has since then.The tech guy was obviously intimately familiar with every nut and bolt on this machine, and could immediately diagnose and clearly explain how to fix the problem.He offered to send me a new valve no charge, but it wasn't necessary.The Honda engine starts easy every time.I wouldn't have thought to review this product, but I was so impressed with the tech support that I just had to give some credit where it's due.

General Pump 12in. Chrome Gutter Cleaner Attachment Review

This accessory is desgined to be used with the telescoping pressure washer pole.It comes with the standard 1/4" quick-disconnect couplers - a male on one end and a female on the other end.NOTE: it does NOT come with a nozzle!You need to buy that separately. The accessory itself is nothing more than a 1/4" piece of pipe with male NPT threaded ends.I found that the quick-disconnect coupler tended to rotate freely on the end of the wand and that I really wanted a 90 degree elbow on the end that goes in the gutter.So, I've removed the quick-disconnect couplers and used regular galavanized pipe fitting to (1) connect it to the telescoping wand and (2) add the 90 degree elbow for easier gutter cleaning.

Faip Pressure Washer - 1850 PSI, Model# PW1850 Review

So far this has been a reliable product that has performed within its limitations.

I decided on electric over gas after discussions with landscapers and deck builders. Both advised that long term use of the more powerful gas washers raised the grain too much on wood decks and resulted in damage. Also, both suggested that if you are not using a gas powered washer often, they become difficult to start and run poorly. This from guys who use them regularly and still experience those problems. I wanted something easy to use and easily stored. I find it simple to operate and so does my wife.

The rotating scrubber head works very well on both wood and concrete--especially exposed aggregate. The other head works pretty well but I recently had trouble with it maintaining pressure. We've used it on our wood deck, exposed aggregate pool deck, concrete and asphalt driveway.It's worked just fine. Again you don't have unlimited pressure but the 1850 provided more than enough to complete each job faster and better than a regular hose.

I have not experienced any problems with hooking up the hoses but I'm pretty careful about it. Nothing has worn out but the handle used on the hose reel fell off. I think a larger screw will solve that problem.

Easy to use. Easy to store. Just make sure you have a large enough extension cord and you are using a receptacle that has few other demands as it will trip a breaker otherwise.

Nice little machine that makes household projects a lot easier.No waiting or paying ridiculous costs for a "professional" pressure washer. I would give 5 stars but I'm waiting to see how it holds up in the long term.
